Level 1 students taking TP12004 Countryside Planning and Management had an extremely informative visit to Vane Farm, the RSPB nature reserve on Loch Leven. The reserve manager, Uwe Stoneman, talked to them about how the RSPB had shaped the reserve and this management of the environment is ongoing with a current planning application with an integrated environmental impact assessment lodged with the local planning authority. This will see a large civil engineering project taking place later this year to further develop the reserve.
