Photo of EU-funded Erasmus Mundus Two EA-M Research Seminar held in association with the Research Centre for Strategic Environmental Assessment, University of Nankai, Tianjin, China, 20-21 March 2010
The seminar theme was 'Enhancing the Attractiveness of Environmental Assessment and Management Higher Education' and was part of a project that includes similar seminars held at Seoul South Korea and Johore Malaysia.
The project partners are the University of Liverpool (lead partner) together with the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava and the Austrian Institute for the Development of Environmental Assessment at the University of Graz Austria.
The photo depicts most of the participants (seven of whom came from EU Member States the rest from the PR of China and SAR Hong Kong) outside the venue for the seminar, the Chern Institute of Applied Mathematics, University of Nankai, Tianjin.
Tony Jackson's invited paper was entitled 'A review of EA-related taught Masters programmes in UK and Scottish universities, emphasising the role of strategic environmental assessment'.
The seminar proved most fruitful, with an excellent exchange of views and plans for further academic liaison.
