A warm welcome to Town and Regional Planning (TRP) at the University of Dundee. This site provides details about the undergraduate and postgraduate courses on offer; insights into staff and research activities taking place; and highlights some of the reasons why studying in the city of Dundee offers so many opportunities.
Within the School of the Environment, there are undergraduate MA Honours and postgraduate MSc degree programmes. TRP courses provide the educational preparation necessary for individuals intending to pursue professional careers in a range of environmental sustainability, property development and planning-related fields. Particular courses are accredited by appropriate professional bodies, notably the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). This professional accreditation is an important asset when pursuing a professional career.

At postgraduate level there is the potential to study an MSc in Spatial Planning with various options: Environmental Assessment, Sustainable Urban Design, Marine Spatial Planning or Urban Conservation. An MSc Advanced Sustainable Urban Design is also available.
Town and Regional Planning staff are also involved in delivering a post-graduate distance-learning planning degree.
