Taught Postgraduate Degrees (MLitt)
The Philosophy Programme offers two taught postgraduate courses:
The Programme also contributes to the MLitt in Gender, Culture and Society (suspended for session 2014/15), an interdisciplinary postgraduate degree that combines expertise from Archives, English, and History, as well as Philosophy.
All of our postgraduate courses offer students the opportunity of advanced philosophical study which may serve as the grounding for PhD research. This will entail a broadening of students' intellectual horizons, a deepening of their critical responses, and the development of their skills of research, reflection and presentation.
Students will work with specialists to gain a deepened understanding of key thinkers and texts from the Continental tradition.
