Taught Postgraduate Degrees (MLitt)
The Philosophy Programme offers two taught postgraduate courses:
- MLitt in Continental Philosophy
- MLitt in Philosophy and Literature (taught jointly with the English Programme)
The Programme also contributes to the MLitt in Women, Culture and Society, an interdisciplinary postgraduate degree that combines expertise from Archives, English, and History, as well as Philosophy. For further information please see the Women, Culture and Society website and the Postgraduate Prospectus.
All of our postgraduate courses offer students the opportunity of advanced philosophical study which may serve as the grounding for PhD research. This will entail a broadening of students' intellectual horizons, a deepening of their critical responses, and the development of their skills of research, reflection and presentation.
Students will work with specialists to gain a deepened understanding of key thinkers and texts from the Continental tradition.
