Masterclass on Difference and Repetition
Professor James Williams of the Philosophy programme is to give a masterclass on Difference and Repetition in Amsterdam on 6 March.
The masterclass, entitled "Gilles Deleuze’s Difference and Repetition: Time-quake...", will ask what a great work of philosophy does, and propose it is "a time-quake: a rupture in time, an event reverberating back and forward through history, disrupting former certainties and orders, altering futures, creating new ideas and making others redundant."
The event will take place at the Netherlands Institute for Cultural Analysis (NICA) from 10am – 1pm. Further information is available on the NICA website.
The night before, on 5 March, Professor Williams will lecture on Deleuze’s Difference and Repetition at Spui25.
