About Us

Led by demand from steering groups, senior management at the University of Dundee (Deans and Directors), and national policies/bench-marking, the Organisational and Professional Development unit supports both individuals and departments achieve their development goals through the provision of training opportunities and developmental support.

Professional Development

Our Professional Development workshop programme provides a broad range of training opportunities to benefit both the individual and the department through a series of tailored and progressive training workshops that can be selected and booked by the individual or recommended by managers. These training opportunities are supported by a growing online resource base of materials.

Organisational Development

Our Organisational Development activities include the development of cohort training programmes to support (1)Individuals in similar roles, (2) bringing training activities into departments for the benefit of groups of colleagues (3) provision of coaching for specific individuals identified by the department (4) support of key strategies through facilitation and training and (5) the development of talent management/succession planning strategies within the University.
