Teaching
The department is actively involved in teaching all year around.
Third Year
All 3rd year students are taught by neurosurgeons during the Nervous System block.
SSC: S100- Clinical Spinal and Cranial Neurosurgery:
- SSC organiser Prof Sam Eljamel, it lasts for 4 weeks and runs twice a year. Please pick up your Nervous System study guide from Prof Sam Eljamel's secretary no. 01382425712 Please report to ward 23b Seminar room on the first working day (excluding public holidays) at 8 am.
Fourth Year
All 4th year students spend a week shadowing one of the consultant neurosurgeons. Please report to the Seminar Room at 8 am on your first day. After the meeting please group yourselves into three equal subgroups and report to your appropriate team for the week.
