Fellowship programme

The fellowship programme in Neurosurgery at Dundee began in 1995 when Prof Eljamel joined the unit after a fellowship in the USA. The fellowship programme is tailored to the individual needs of the fellow. Examples of previous fellow include:

  1. Abbay Kumar, clinical fellowship (funded by NHS Tayside).
  2. Aposolous Samelis, clinical fellowship (funded by the Greek Army).
  3. Marcos Marchioni, clinical fellowship (funded by the Italian programme).
  4. M Mohammed, clinical fellowship (funded by NHS Tayside).
  5. Rahim Alaashal, clinical fellowship (funded by NHS Tayside).
  6. Veer Caussey, clinical fellowship (funded by the British Common wealth).

Generally you need to fulfil the following criteria of a fellowship:

  1. GMC letter that you are entitled for registration.
  2. Sponsorship letter from your programme director supporting your application.
  3. An application letter stating the duration, tentative starting date, subspecialty and any other requirements.
  4. Up to date CV and a photograph.
