Scientific Programme
The EUROCHAP 2005 Programme will consist of:
- Keynote lectures from distinguished speakers
- Sponsored symposia by pharmaceutical companies
- Free communication programme of selected abstracts
- Poster viewing sessions
- Joint Symposia organised by several Scientific Organisations
and Societies (listed below)
- The Transatlantic Vascular Meeting (TAVM)
The Society of Vascular Medicine and Biology (SVMB), The
Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) and The Swedish Societies
of Vascular Surgery & Medical Angiology meet every three
years to organise a joint meeting, which is called the
Transatlantic Vascular Meeting (TAVM)
The TAVM will consist of:
- Special lecture - Why is SFA different? The challenge
of the SFA for intervention
- Sessions on: Insights from epidemiological studies of
vascular disease, translational vascular medicine/biology
and insights from clinical trials
- Concurrent workshops on venous thromboembolism management,
improving international public awareness of PAD, addressing
the problem of assessing QOL in CLI
- Vascular debates
Joint symposia in the EUROCHAP 2005 Programme will be organised
by the following Societies:
