Professor Harden’s background is in medicine and he is Teaching Dean at Dundee Medical School. He has made major contributions to medical education at local, national and international levels. His interests cover all course themes in undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education.

Senior Lecturer in Medical Education
Background in clinical and laboratory haematology and senior lecturer at the Centre since 1994. She provides educational support for the new undergraduate medical curriculum at Dundee and is responsible for the Centre’s educational courses.
Molly Gunn BA MEd
Media Production Manager
Extensive background in educational media and materials development. In addition to contributing to some of the instructional materials development units, Molly is responsible for the management of the Centre’s media production which encompasses many different formats.
Anne Hesketh BSc DipEd
Senior Researcher
Background in education and instructional materials development. Anne’s main activity over the last few years has been the production of distance learning programmes for a range of healthcare professionals.
Jennifer Laidlaw DipEdTech MMedEd
Associate Director, Education Development Unit
Jennifer’s background is in training, educational technology and medical education. She has extensively designed and produced distance education programmes for healthcare professionals covering a wide variety of topics. She contributes to the face-to-face teaching in the instructional materials development theme..
Dr Sean McAleer BSc DPhil
Lecturer in Medical Education
With a background in psychology Sean is mainly responsible for the assessment and research components of the course. He has been at the Centre since 1988 and his main interests are in educational climate and assessment processes.
Sue Roff BA(Hons) MA
Project Development Officer
Sue has a background in educational sociology with particular reference to the management of change, and is also interested in institutional climates and environment.
Dr Alistair Stewart MSc PhD
Education Consultant
Extensive background in educational technology and international health professions education consultancy. Alistair’s key areas of interest are teaching and learning, instructional materials development and quality assurance. His main activity is educational development in relation to various Centre projects.
Course Administrator Natalie Lafferty BSc(Hons)
With a background in biology and health education work in schools Natalie is responsible for the administration of the courses. She will be happy to answer any questions you might have in relation to applications, fees, tutor feedback, as well as general enquiries relating to the courses.
