The importance of sampling in research is highlighted in this unit and practical guidelines for a variety of sampling methods are described.
This unit looks at how to plan a questionnaire. It focuses on different types of questions and on effective question construction.
Carrying out research involves presenting and interpreting data in a coherent and appropriate manner. This unit looks at descriptive and inferential statistics and describes the circumstances appropriate for their use. Practical examples are employed to introduce the student to some of the basic statistical techniques and common ways of analysing qualitative and quantitative data are featured.
