The light microscopy facility houses one of Europe's finest collections of high specification imaging and analysis equipment including:

1. Leica SP2 AOBS Confocal

2. Zeiss 510 META Confocal

3. BioRad Radiance 2100MP Multiphoton/Confocal microscope with Becker and Hickl TCSPC FLIM

4. Zeiss 410 Confocal

5. Two Deltavision DV3 widefield deconvolution microscopes

6. Three Deltavision Spectris widefield deconvolution microscopes variously equipped with environmental chamber and FRAP and paGFP laser lines.

7. Five offline workstations running SoftWorx for deconvolution and data analysis

8. A histology lab equipped with cryostat, wax and resin embedders and microtomes
