The mission of the Educational Development Division (EDD) in the Library & Learning Centre (LLC) is to support excellence in teaching across the university. We aim to achieve this through a variety of ways:
We specialise in technology enhanced learning to support excellence in teaching and link with the Teaching and Learning Enhancement Team (TALENT) led by Margaret Adamson and the Assessment Team led by David Walker within the EDD to provide an integrated service.
In addition to the centrally delivered programme, LLC Educational Development can work with you to provide bespoke activities tailored to the requirements of your teaching team, school or discipline area. We also work closely with the School of Education, Social Work and Community Education and Quality Assurance in bringing you a varied and responsive range of development opportunities which reflect the issues and challenges of supporting excellence in teaching in higher education.
A new development from AY 10-11 is our EduZone - a dedicated space within the main library (next to the cafe) which provides a comfortable space to meet with colleagues, browse resources, engage with educational development opportunities and hear from visiting speakers in our new seminar series.
We look forward to working with you.
