TurningPoint

The TurningPoint personal response system (PRS) enables academics to create interactive presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint and to gather student responses to questions and statements via credit card size handsets, The software is effective at facilitating in-class discussion and represents a powerful tool for classroom-based testing.

A total of 200 handsets are available from the Library & Learning Centre (Main Library) on main-campus, which can be spilt into three separate kits if required.

Computing and Media Services (CAMS) located in the Medical School at Ninewells Hospital also have a TurningPoint kit available for booking. You can email CAMS or email TILT the Technology and Innovation Learning Team for more information.

The TurningPoint software is available on the University's Standard Operating Environment (SOE) and can be used in all main teaching venues. Braille handsets are also now available.

Bookings and support for the TurningPoint system is coordinated by the Assess Team, part of the Library & Learning Centre's Educational Development Division.
