- Art Full Text . Articles from journals covering fine, decorative and commercial art, both historical and contemporary. - Art Images for College Teaching: a free-access, free-use for education collection, with emphasis on ancient, medieval and renaissance European art
- Art Museum Image Gallery . 100,000 images from museums and galleries worldwide which may be downloaded for educational use. Off campus select Shibboleth login, then the UK Higher Education group and then the University of Dundee.
- Arts on Film Archive: "The archive offers a complete database and an on-line video streaming of all 450 films made by the film department of Arts Council England between 1953 and 1998 and several films produced till 2003 by the dance Department of ACE."
- BBC Archive: collections of themed audio, video and still images from the BBC's vast archives. Please note these programmes are not provided in a downloadable format.
- BFI (British Film Institute) Screenonline: the definitive guide to Britain's film and TV industry. On-campus access only
- Box of Broadcasts. "BoB is an off-air recording and media archive service. BoB is available to staff and students of member institutions of the British Universities Film & Video Council that hold an ERA+ licence. This TV scheduling service allows you to record TV and radio programmes that are scheduled to be broadcast over the next seven days as well as retrieving programmes from the last seven days from a selected list of recorded channels." Type 'University of Dundee' then login with your username and password.
- Bridgeman Education. "Bridgeman Education database offers access to over 200,000 images. Images should not be made available on the internet or used for publication or lectures outside the University of Dundee. All downloaded images from Bridgeman should have the following credit "Copyright The Bridgeman Art Library - London, New York, Paris." For off campus access click on Login, then on login via UK Access Management Federation, and enter University of Dundee.
- British Artists' Film and Video Study Collection: "is dedicated to documenting the achievements of British moving-image artists. It contains over 4000 video copies of artists' works, approximately 5000 still images, files on 450 artists, a library of over 1000 books and magazines, a collection of historical posters and publication materials, and documentation relating to key artist-led organisations, public funding bodies, etc."

- Demarco Digital Archive: "the digital archive comprises photographs plus documents, publications and other printed material either created or gathered by Richard Demarco. The digital records are drawn from the Demarco archives held by the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and the Demarco European Art Foundation."

- JISC MediaHub. JISC Media Hub provides a single point of access to video, image and sound resources from many different providers, including Associated Press, the Biochemical Society Archive, Channel 4, Culverhouse Classical Music, Gaumont, Getty, Imperial War Museum, ITN, Reuters, Royal Geographical Society, St Georges Hospital Medical School and Wellcome. It includes television news, documentary films, still images and classical music, and covers a wide range of academic subjects. The content is licensed for educational and research use, and access is provided via an easy-to-use interface, which can cross-search all the available collections. Log in via the UK Federation and select the University of Dundee.

- New York Public Library Digital Gallery: NYPL Digital Gallery provides access to over 550,000 images digitized from primary sources and printed rarities in the collections of The New York Public Library, including illuminated manuscripts, historical maps, vintage posters, rare prints and photographs, illustrated books, printed ephemera, and more........Images may be freely downloaded for personal, research, and study purposes only

- SCRAN - Scottish Cultural Resources Network. A digital cultural and historical resource. Over 300,000 images, movies and sounds from museums, galleries, archives and the media downloadable for educational purposes. A major resource on the material culture of Scotland. Select Shibboleth login, then the University of Dundee, and login with your username and password.
- Technical Advisory Service for Images: advice on finding and using digital images
- Victoria & Albert Museum Collections: "You may search here for 45,000 works and 72,000 images from the V&A collections ... You are welcome to use the information and the images for personal use and educational purposes in print or on the web."
- Visual Arts Data Service (VADS): digital images from UK collections which may be downloaded for educational use
- Web Gallery of Art: "a virtual museum and searchable database of European painting and sculpture from 1100-1850 ... The Web Gallery of Art is copyrighted as a database. Images and documents downloaded from this database can only be used for educational and personal purposes. Distribution of the images in any form is prohibited without the authorization of their legal owner."
- Wellcome Images: "allows unlimited access to a vast catalogue of medical images, manuscripts, and illustrations exploring the meaning of medicine, its history and current practice. All content has been made available under a Creative Commons Licence, which allows users to copy, distribute and display the image, provided the source is fully attributed and it is used for non-commercial purposes."
