- 17th and 18th Century Burney Collection. The newspapers and news pamphlets gathered by the Reverend Charles Burney (1757 - 1817) represent the largest single collection of 17th and 18th century English news media. For off campus access use your University of Dundee username and password.
- 19th Century British Library Newspapers. The British Library 19th century newspapers database provides access to national, regional, and local 19th century British newspapers. It includes 48 titles amounting to approximately 2.2 million pages.
- British Newspapers 1600-1900. The British Newspapers 1600-1900 is the most significant digital collection of British historic newspapers. This cross-searchable interface allows searching across the Burney Collection and the British library 19th century collection of newspapers. - Scotsman digital archive. Full access to every issue of The Scotsman from 1817-1950. Select the "News - The Historical Scotsman" from the Database dropdown menu
- Times Digital archive. Search the complete digital edition of The Times (London) from 1785-1985, using keyword searching and hit-term highlighting to retrieve full facsimile images of either a specific article or a complete page. The entire newspaper is captured, with all articles, advertisements and illustrations/photos divided into categories to facilitate searching.
