springerlink-logo The LLC now has access to over 16,000 ebooks published by Springer. Books can be browsed by subject area or searched by keyword and are cross-searchable with subscribed journal content. Titles are also accessible through the Library catalogue and LLC Search. Thousands of electronic books are available to University of Dundee staff and students. Most are listed on the Library catalogue, but to search or browse other collections, you can connect direct from the following links.

How do I find and search for e-books?

NetLibrary, Ebrary and Dawsonera titles are on the Library catalogue and LLC Search. New titles are added on a regular basis, but you may find that Ebrary titles are available through their website before they appear on the Library catalogue. Safari and EEBO titles can be accessed from the links below.

On the Library catalogue you can search for titles, authors and sometimes tables of contents of e-books, but you can't search the full text of the book itself. You can search the entire text of all Ebrary, NetLibrary, Dawsonera, Safari and JISC Historic Books from their web pages and also usually from CrossSearch.

Do I need to register?

You do not need to register. If you are logged-in to a PC on campus you can go directly to Ebrary, NetLibrary or Safari books from the LLC web pages or through the Library catalogue. Dawsonera books require a further log-in using your University of Dundee username and password.

Can I read e-books off-campus?

Yes, follow links directly to the e-book from the Library catalogue, or use the links below to access the different e-book services. You will need your University of Dundee username and password.
