Welcome to the Library & Learning Centre
There are lots of great LLC resources, facilities and services available to you - why not come on a Library tour to find out more?
As well as a tour of the library, you will be shown how to get started so that you can find resources for your courses using the catalogue, Library Search and Subject pages, and how to use your own account - "My Library Card".
Main Library tours are scheduled throughout the semester.
There are also organised tours for new students at our other Libraries - Law, Duncan of Jordanstone, and the Medical and Nursing Libraries - usually scheduled within course or module timetables. Please ask at your site library for tour details.
We are also trialling self-guided tours which you can access with your mobile phone (or other mobile device), through any of the QR code tour points posted around the Library. The tour text is also available on our webpages and as a handout.

Each School in the University has its own Liaison Librarian who can help you to get the best out of the Library and the resources available in your subject area. The Liaison team provides information skills sessions for new students so that you can find out more about subject-specific resources and how to use them, and how to search effectively to find relevant and good quality information to support your academic studies and research. These are often organised with academic staff and are timetabled lectures, classes or workshops.
This semester there are also LLC Information Skills Training (LIST) sessions in the Main Library which are open to anyone, on topics including how to find resources and information, how to use Endnote referencing software and Box of Broadcasts, which is an exciting new service you can use to view and record from TV and radio and create your own clips and playlists. The My Dundee drop-in sessions are a great opportunity to come along and meet one of our Learning Technologists to find out more about My Dundee and how it works or to ask specific questions on things like how to use blogs, e-portfolios and submit work online.

A mobile version of the Blackboard learning environment, My Dundee, is now available to all students and staff at the University. This is an exciting step forward in supporting the many mobile devices on campus and the expectations for flexible access to our elearning systems. You can download the Blackboard Mobile app for a range of devices including Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, as well as Android, Blackberry and Palm smartphones. Through these apps you can learn anytime, anywhere, with access to all of your learning modules, including latest announcements, discussion boards, lecture slides and course materials.
Search for Blackboard Mobile Learn in your App Store or scan the QR codes provided, search the installed App for 'University of Dundee', select and Log in using your My Dundee username and password.
