Liaison Service

Each College in the University is served by a Liaison team which is responsible for ensuring that the staff, students and researchers of the College and its constituent Schools get the most out of the services available.

What we do

Liaison contacts perform a variety of tasks including:

Participating in staff-student and other School and College committees
Determining adequate resources for new modules
Delivering information skills training
Supporting the development of innovative learning, teaching and assessment through technology

We also offer Subject surgeries which are held in the Main Library's Survey Zone from 12 till 2 on weekdays throughout Semester:

Mondays for all subjects and all Colleges
Tuesdays for subjects within the College of Life Sciences
Wednesdays for subjects within the College of Arts & Social Sciences
Thursdays for subjects within the College of Medicine, Dentistry & Nursing
Fridays for subjects within the College of Art, Science & Engineering

What we can do for you

Liaison staff are skilled in finding and using information resources in the different subject areas. Students can contact Liaison staff directly for help on aspects of Library & Learning Centre provision.
