Welcome to the Law Library

The Law Library is a branch of the Library and Learning Centre, we have recently relocated from the Scrymgeour Building to area 2B of the Main Library.  This is part of the Main Library Redevelopment.  The redevelopment has benefits including:

  • All the Law stock - books, journals and Law Reports - will be easily accessible on one level. A lift is available within the Law area for disabled access
  • A staff office which will provide an enquiry point
  • 117 Silent Study spaces, with generous-sized desks (1000 X 800mm), all with double desktop power sockets
  • 24 fixed PCs within Silent Study area
  • New chairs throughout
  • Collaborative study area (79 spaces in total), with a mixture of round and oval tables, all with desktop power, seating groups of 4, 6 or 8
  • Printer/photocopier
  • Soft seating area
  • Glass-walled Presentation Room with a high-specification boardroom table for 12 people, a PC and a ceiling-mounted projector and screen
  • Fresh drinking water will be available from a water fountain 

The Law Library accommodates the legal collections of the University Library.

We run tours and induction sessions to the Library, mostly at the start of the academic session. However, if you do wish to be shown around, please just ask any member of staff or get in touch with the Librarians.
