Accessing LLC resources

Physical access

The reception area or service desk of all site libraries (with the exception of the School of Nursing & Midwifery Library at Fife Campus) is accessible to wheelchair users.

Access to LLC resources

Users can request materials (including reference materials in some circumstances) from any site library to be brought to the one most convenient to them.
Staff will retrieve materials from the shelves for readers who are unable to do so themselves (some notice may be required at busy times). Please contact individual site libraries for more information.
Users can renew books in person, by phone, fax, email or letter or through the Library catalogue. Additional support in using the catalogue can be provided if required. Please contact your Disability Support Officer.
Students and staff who have difficulty accessing standard print can be provided with extended borrowing time for Short Loans. This can be arranged by contacting Disability Services. Materials may also be available in alternative formats (contact Roslind Penny if advised by Disability Services).
Proxy borrowing is available to disabled users who are unable to visit the Library. If you would like to make use of this service, please contact Roslind Penny. Telephone 01382 384088.
