Educational Resource on Ageing (ERA)

Welcome and Introduction

This resource has been created by the University of Dundee to help medical and nursing practitioners learn more about the evidence based clinical care of older people and takes the form of three assessments.

There are three assessments in total. For each of Assessments 1 and 2 you will be presented with sets of 10 questions. Please select the best option from the choices presented. The question set poses a range of difficulties. On completion of each theme you will receive feedback on which of your answers were correct together with a web-link or key reference for you to consult for further reading around the topic.

ERA Assessment 3 (Student) is aimed at people earlier in their career. You will be presented with a randomly generated set of 8 questions. Please answer ‘true’ or ‘false’ to each of the five statements following a given stem. You will receive feedback of which of your answers were correct and short explanatory notes.

Click on the links below to access the assessments:

2. ERA Assessment 2 (Themes: Incontinence; cerebrovascular disease; dementia and delirium)

We hope that you find this resource engaging, educational and a spur to further reading and that older people will benefit directly from what you have learned.
