- Users
of the VLE are bound by the University's Regulations
for the Use of Computer Facilities and must also abide by the
Code of
Conduct for the Use of Computer Facilities.
- Users
must adhere to University guidelines on Electronic
Copyright, Plagiarism,
Accessibility
& Data
Protection. Further support for each of these issues is provided
via the VLE Staff Development programme and the VLE Frequently Asked
Question resources.
- User's
accounts & passwords are private. They must not be communicated
to any other person. Unauthorised access to any computer facility
is prohibited and a criminal offence.
- Course
material is normally private to the students and instructors on the
course
- LEU
has right of access for every VLE course (for purposes of quality
control, administration & security)
- Course
material may be used for staff development & research purposes,
subject to approval of the lead Instructor. Students with privacy
concerns should raise these with their course Instructor, who may
contact the LEU.
