Accreditation of Prior Learning

It is worth noting that the School of Nursing and Midwifery has a comprehensive Accreditation for Prior Learning policy.

The accreditation of prior learning can follow three routes:

  1. The accreditation of prior certificated learning (APCL) where credit is awarded for previous certificated learning.
  2. The accreditation of prior experiential learning (APEL) where credit is awarded for previous experiential learning.
  3. A combination of the above (AP(E)L).

If you wish to apply for Accreditation of Prior Learning to gain advanced entry into a School of Nursing and Midwifery programme you should apply directly to the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
