Biography

Prior to joining the School of Law Bo Xie was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the National University of Singapore. She obtained her LL.B and M.A. in Corporate Law from Southwest University of Political Science and Law in China. She also studied an LL.M in European Business Law at Université Paul Cézanne Aix-Marseille III, graduating in 2006 with Distinction. She came to the UK to study for her PhD in Corporate Insolvency Law. During her PhD studies she was a teaching assistant at Manchester Law School.

Research

Dr Xie's primary research interests are in the areas of company law and insolvency law. She is particularly interested in governance issues in corporate rescue law and comparative studies of corporate insolvency law.
