Biography

Aude Fiorini, Maîtrise, LL.M., D.E.A, joined the Dundee Law School in November 2007, having been a lecturer at the University of Aberdeen (2002-2007) and at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (1997-2002) where she was responsible for the teaching of Private International Law, International Commercial Law and Comparative Law.

Since 1999 she has been the Civil Law Editor of INCADAT.

Since 2004 Aude Fiorini has been on the panel of experts of the TAIEX Office of the European Commission and has participated in judicial training seminars in the field of judicial cooperation in civil, commercial as well as family law matters.

She has acted as a judicial expert most recently in the Re N (Jurisdiction) [2007] EWHC 1274 case.

Aude Fiorini's research primarily focuses on (comparative) private international law/international commercial law. She is particularly interested in issues at the interface of public and private international law, the dichotomy of private international law methods and tools in the civilian and common law traditions and in the forms and consequences of the Europeanization of private international law/international commercial law.

She has published in English, French and German.

Postgraduate: - International Business Transactions I & II, International Commercial Litigation, International Commercial Procedure.

Research

Aude Fiorini’s research primarily focuses on (comparative) private international law.
