Biography

David Brand graduated from the University of Dundee with First Class Honours in 1972 and was admitted as a Solicitor and Notary Public in 1974. He was a partner in a firm of solicitors practising in Tayside from 1975 until 1997. He has extensive experience of private practice and has been a member of the Council of Law Society of Scotland, Dean of the Faculty of Solicitors and Procurators in Dundee, Chairman of Tayside Solicitors Property Centre, a part-time Chairman of Social Security Tribunals and a Scottish civil legal aid reporter.

Interests include Property Law and Succession, the Legal Profession, Legal Education and Training.
