Taught Masters Degrees: Principles of International Contract Law

The method of assessment is 50% coursework (2 essays worth 20% and 30%) and 50% written examination.

This module will provide students with advanced instruction in several key aspects of contract law. There will be an emphasis on a comparative approach, considering not only the UN Convention on the International Sale of Goods but also developments in the USA and at a European level. By the end of this module, students should gain an understanding of issues relating to: the formation of contract; policing the content of contracts; contract variation; remedies for breach and third party rights.
