This is a second semester module. The method of assessment is 40% coursework (1 essay worth 15% and 1 essay worth 25%) and 60% written examination.
The module aims to examine the regulation of financial services and markets in the United Kingdom. By the end of the module students should: understand the regulation of financial services and markets; be able to show how law prompts, shapes, implements and controls financial services regulation; understand the general concepts and issues in the field of financial services regulation; and be able to apply these understandings in the analysis of substantive areas of law and policy.
