"The Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Dundee was extremely enjoyable and helped me prepare for my traineeship. There is a focus on professionalism which is crucial when becoming a trainee. Tutors are all experienced and eager to help out - it is noticeable that they enjoy teaching new lawyers entering the workplace.
Work is generally focussed on the practical elements of being a solicitor and tasks which are generally asked and expected of a trainee. Being able to focus on areas of the law which I enjoyed was a real positive; the extra practice helped me as a trainee
Of course, entering a law firm was a new experience but the Diploma at Dundee was a period of transition which helped prepare me for what I could expect in the workplace. The Dundee Diploma is an insight into life as a solicitor, from a professional and social point of view, and is a stepping stone to the profession"
