The Diploma programme offers numerous opportunities for developing skills in a national and international competitive - and fun - environment. Some of this year's highlights so far include:
The Diploma team of Stephanie Cooper, Charlotte Gray, Cheryl Hogg, with Kevin Jarvis as Chef d'equipe, performed exceptionally well at their first competition - the UK International Mediation Competition run over two days in November 2011. Nineteen teams, including several from Germany, the US and BPP (eventual winners) competed over two rounds). The competition was preceded by a one day Masterclass from international experts from the US.
The Dundee Civil Competition prize, judged by Sheriff Gregor Murray, was won by Sean Dorian.
The Dundee Criminal Competition Prize, judged by Sheriff Jim Williamson, was won by Denise Borrer.
The Scottish Client Consultation Competition was held at Dundee University in January 2012. The winners of the internal competition, Emma Johnson and Hannah Sproat, represented the Law School at the National Competition hosted by Dundee University on 13 January 2012 when seven Scottish Diploma teams competed over two rounds, with Glasgow being the eventual winners.
