Studying Languages
Our Languages Programme has three main strands:
Practical Languages
Practical Language Courses are fast-track accredited courses in French, German and Spanish (normally 40 credits per year). You can include a language course in almost any undergraduate degree programme, and you can study two languages on the European Languages and Cultures and European Studies pathways.
Languages for All
The Languages for All Programme offers an exciting selection of languages, mainly taught in the evening by professional experienced tutors. Accredited courses include Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish and Russian.
Non-accredited courses are also available in Gaelic, Latin, Polish, Portuguese and Turkish. A Post Intermediate English (Cambridge) course is also part of our programme.
Our short courses for beginners which run for six weeks commence the week beginning Monday 28 January 2013. You can also join our existing classes which have been running from September 2012 depending on prior knowledge. These classes commence again the week beginning Monday 14 January 2013.
