ABOUT ITEAS
The Institute for Transatlantic, European and American Studies (ITEAS) was founded in 2003.
It incorporated the long-established and successful existing programmes in American Studies and Contemporary European Studies and created the new suite of courses in Transatlantic Studies, by drawing on a rich history at the University for research in Transatlantic Studies, illustrated by the success of the Transatlantic Journal which is hosted by the Politics Department and is edited by Dundee's very own Professor Alan Dobson.
It is through a substantial web of contacts that the ITEAS will prove to be a potent academic force in the field of Transatlantic Studies.
The establishment of the Institute will provide the University of Dundee with an internationally recognised centre of excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as continued global recognition for its research and publications.
