Campus Sport Springs into March 05.03.10
With Winter well behind us (fingers crossed!), we are just drawing breath after “A Month of Fun Days” - Four brilliant Campus Sport events in Basketball, Volleyball, Touch Rugby and Tennis which have seen well over 200 having a ball (quite literally!) through playing sport. In addition, the Hockey League down at Riverside Sports Ground has just finished, after some good natural competition.
Some great action, huge amounts of fun and some fantastic results have been the order of the day. Look out for the new “Campus Sport Champ” T shirts being proudly worn on campus by the victorious teams!
Look out for great photos of the action coming soon!
Hockey 09.02.10
The hockey mini leagues take place every Thursday night at Riverside Sports Grounds (5.30 – 7.00pm) and enable those involved with the university men’s and women’s hockey clubs the chance to mix and play recreational hockey. The mini leagues run over four weeks, with each playing the others in their league three times, before the top, middle and bottom teams in each pool play-off in the Finals week. The Hockey results will be posted on this website each week, click here
Racket Ladders Start Soon 05.03.10
There are still loads of opportunities to get involved in Campus Sport activity, particularly throughout racket ladders in Squash, Badminton and Table Tennis. Numbers are pretty healthy, but we would like to see them HUGE by the end of March! The more people that sign up for the ladders, the more playing partners and wider the range of abilities involved.
Remember ALL levels are welcome and the ladders should ensure that you find playing partners of your own ability. And it doesn't cost a penny to get involved!
To download an entry form please go to the Badminton, Squash or Table Tennis pages and simply complete the form and send it or hand it in to the ISE reception.
Welcome back to a new year (and decade!) of Campus Sport events.
Campus Sport events are THE perfect way to keep your exercise and physical activity resolutions on track – you’ll be having so much fun you won’t even know you are exercising!
Last semester saw almost 200 people take part in Campus Sport events such as football, hockey, badminton and squash. This semester there is much more on the Campus Sport menu for you:
Volleyball - Basketball - 7s Rugby - Tennis - Squash - Badminton - Table Tennis
