General Questions
The UoD WiFi Network Service provides users with a wireless connection to the University network using a suitably specified and configured laptop. The service is designed to provide mobility and flexibility in the support of learning and teaching. Yes. You will need to clear out your old credentials (University of Dundee username and password) as most laptops automatically store them (Windows XP Only). See the steps below for details on how to clear your credentials.

Your login credentials (ie your standard University of Dundee username & password) are stored in your laptop, and are used every time your laptop connects, after you first successfully log on to the UoD WiFi Network Service. University Policy requires that a suitable anti-virus product is used and regularly updated on all computers (Windows, Macintosh and other operating systems) connected to the University of Dundee network.
Anti-virus software is available for download to all University of Dundee staff and matriculated students free of charge. Futher help and advice is also on ICS' Virus Protection webpages including useful information about recent threats and hoaxes.
Note: You should only have one anti-virus software running per laptop. Any old AV software must be removed through the Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel
