As of 06/05/2008 PHP has been upgraded from 4.4.7 to version 5.2.6.
Details of a caching issue with MySQL and PHP

To improve the security of your database please use the include function to include your userid and password in your PHP scripts, not the mysql_connect function. Read about the security of web connections.
MySQL Databases & PHP
MySQL is available for use with official web sites. You would normally use it with PHP (a server-side scripting language available on Sky) to dynamically pull data out of your database into a web page.
