Web Accessibility Service

Welcome to the University of Dundee's Web Accessibility Service!

The service aims to support University staff in making sure that the Web sites they publish are as accessible as possible to the target audience, regardless of disability or browsing technology. It will do this by:

providing a dedicated advisory and support service to staff on all issues relating to Web accessibility.
providing an advisory service to central services on the procurement and implementation of systems that support the creation of accessible Web content.
supporting the monitoring of progress towards achieving the highest possible level of accessibility across the University's Web presence.

So whether you're:

Producing electronic information to be published online;
Developing web sites; or
Commissioning web sites, web content or web publishing technology from an external organisation.

Web Accessibility Interest Group

A Web Accessibility Interest Group has also been established to provide an opportunity for face-to-face discussions about accessibility related issues. All staff with an interest in the area are more than welcome to join.

The Group will meet regularly on campus to hear presentations on various accessibility related topics; it will also be an opportunity to share experiences (good and bad...) and issues relating to Web design and accessibility.
