Video Conferencing

ICS provides video conferencing facilities on the Main campus. Each video conferencing suite may be used for teaching or research purposes and offers the ability to hold conferences with many sites worldwide, including multi-venue conferences with several sites.

Provision

Most suites have two cameras, a document camera, video player and PC.
All suites have full monitor and sound facilities.

Booking Information

Please contact ICS Service Desk and provide the following information:

Your name and department.
Name of conference.
Date and start time (GMT) of your video conference.
Duration of conference.
Site required.
Name(s) of sites conferencing with.
Contact details of the person(s) at the site(s) you are connecting to (include: email, phone number and studio number)
Technology to be used ie ISDN or IP.
ISDN number and IP address if known.
Whether data sharing is required?

Charges

Video conferencing uses telephone (ISDN) connections as well as IP. When an ISDN connection is used to dial out to another site this will incur extra charges. A standard fee applies to all bookings - Charges
