Standard Operating Environment (SOE)

The Standard Operating Environment (SOE) is a specification for standards for computer hardware, operating system, security and applications software.

These pages relate to the University of Dundee SOE that has been developed for Windows PCs.

The SOE is currently provided in all Central Learning & Teaching IT Suites, teaching rooms and is available for use by all University staff in both academic and administrative departments on request. Software applications delivered via the SOE are reviewed annually (Annual Software Review) to ensure that the changing needs of the University are met. More about the SOE.
