This facility is very easy to access. Simply visit https://mypassword.dundee.ac.uk.

You will then be prompted to enter your current University of Dundee username and password. When you have successfully logged in you will see your username in the top left hand corner of the screen, just under the logo.
When you first enter the Password Management Portal you will be taken straight to the "Answer Challenge Questions" page. These questions and answers will be used to challenge you if you forget your password and try to reset it using the portal. Here you should answer all the "Admin-Defined Questions" and create and answer a "User-Defined Question". Please try to enter answers that are unlikely to be guessed.
You will be advised that you have successfully submitted this page. You can also go back and change your "Answer Challenge Questions" if you wish.
If you want to change your password at this point simply click on "Change Password (Universal)" which is located on the left hand side of the page.
Yes. You can connect to the Password Management Portal from any internet-connected computer.
If you have already used the Password Management Portal and have successfully submitted your "Answer Challenge Questions" simply go to the portal login page and click on "Forgotten your password?".
You will then be prompted to enter your username and answer 4 of your 5 "Challenge Questions". On successfully completing this you will be able to enter a setup a new password.
If you haven't already used the Password Management Portal then you will need to contact the local IT Support staff or ICS Service Desk who will reset your password for you.
If you don't successfully submit your "Answer Challenge Questions" then you won't be able to use this service to reset your password in the event you forget it. You can still use this service to change your password as long as you know your current password.
If you are worried about the security of your account or that your account may be used to gain access to sensitive data please avoid using this online facility.
This facilitity cannot be used to reset you password if you haven't registered any answers to the challenge questions. You can of course use the portal to change your current password whether you have registered your answers to the challenge questions or not.
The Safari web browser doesn't support some of the scripting used for setting challenge answers within the portal. You can however still use Safari to reset your password within the portal.
Challenge response answers can be set from a Macintosh using the Firefox web browser.
