When you instruct the central IT suite PC to print your work it will be held in a print queue. To print you will need to enter your username at a print release station or Main Library copy terminal. You may go to any print release station to print your work. Work will be retained in the print queue for 30 mins and then the print request will be deleted.
Duplex printing is now the default option in IT suites. By reducing the amount you print you will save paper, energy and money. Duplex printing costs you only 4p per side of print, as opposed to 5p for single sided printing.
1. To print single-sided you should open the print dialogue box and select 'Properties'.

2. Then select the 'Finishing' tab in the properties dialogue box.

3. Finally untick the box next to 'Print on both sides'.

A colour printer is available in the DoJ Library.
When sending your work please ensure that you select the colour printer option from the "File > Print" menu on your PC, as the black and white printer is the default printer.

Go to the print release station computer beside the printer, insert your username and print your job off.
Your work will be held on the print release station for a maximum of 30 minutes. After this time it will automatically be deleted from the print queue. Your Pay2Print account will not be affected by this. The amount of time set aims to give you enough time to go to the print release station to print your work off and to keep print queues to a minimum.

You may cancel printing a document from the print release station menu. However, once it is "sent" to the printer you will be charged for the full job. We recommend that you do not try to cancel your job at the printer once you have started to print.
If you are unsure about the formatting of a document and how it will look once printed, use the print preview facility (available from most applications) to check how your printed document will look. Alternatively, please try printing one or two pages first.
