Notes

All PCs in IT Suites and teaching rooms will power down if they are not in use. PC Monitors will go into powersave mode after 15 minutes of inactivity. If nobody is logged in, a PC will power down after half an hour.
Testing has shown already that this leads to significant power savings and supports the University's carbon management objectives.
Printing to black/white printers in all IT suites has been set to duplex (double-sided) printing by default to contribute to the University's carbon management objectives. See Printing Your Work
There are up to 280 PCs in total in the Library & Learning Centre, including the Watson-Watt Room IT Teaching Room, with 16 PCs, on Main Library, First Floor (centrally bookable via, Central Timetabling and Room Bookings ).
