Quick Guide to Teaching Room/Audio Visual Support

This webpage aims to provide you with enough information to get started quickly when using IT and AV equipment in teaching accommodation managed by ICS.

You can download  A quick guide to getting started in teaching accommodation  (PDF, 87.1KB) or you can follow the steps below. This information is also available as a poster in all teaching accommodation managed by ICS.

Switch power on

• To switch on the teaching desk mains power use either the floor mounted 13A socket underneath or at the side of the desk.

Switch projector on

• Switch the projector on by pressing the ON button on the control panel.

Using DVD

• Push the DVD button to show DVD.
• To use a DVD insert the DVD and the DVD player will default to play. Once playing you can use the PLAY, STOP and PAUSE buttons.

Using VHS

• Push the VHS button to show DVD.
• To use a VHS insert the tape and use the PLAY, FWD, REW and PAUSE buttons as appropriate.

Volume

• To adjust the volume use the volume controls on the control panel.

Using the built-in PC

• If the built-in PC is on standby "wake" it by pressing the keyboards space bar or switch the PC on by pressing the power button located on its front. 
  
   
  
  
• Push the COMPUTER button on the control panel to show the PC output on both the monitor and projector screen.

When finished

• If no one is waiting to use the equipment after you please switch the projector off using the OFF button on the control panel.
