Teaching Room/Audio Visual Support
ICS provides IT and audio visual support for learning and teaching in agreed centrally
booked teaching rooms and lecture theatres on main campus. The University's
Room Catalogue
provides full information on room location, size, type and AV and
IT equipment where provided.
Provision
- AV facilities include a range of equipment including data projection, DVD and VHS players, audio (microphone, hearing induction), video conferencing. Within this range, please choose a room that meets your needs for classes.
- IT facilities include a PC with keyboard and mouse, fully configured with the University's Standard Operating Environment. You should login to this PC using your usual University username and password.
Getting Help
- Preparation - a short demonstration can be arranged to show you how the equipment can be used, in advance of classes. Please contact ICS Service Desk to arrange a session giving at least 5 working days notice.
- Support - if problems arise during classes, you can make a call from the teaching room phone and assistance will be provided as fast as resources allow.
- Additional equipment - as the University is well provided with a range of appropriately equipped rooms, it is rare to find that additional equipment is required. We have limited capacity to provide extra equipment to rooms, but if you do require this, please contact ICS Service Desk providing at least 5 working days notice and we will do what we can to help.
- Feedback - please contact ICS Service Desk to provide any feedback about AV and IT equipment.
