Scheduled maintenance of ICS systems
All repair, maintenance or upgrade work which can be scheduled sufficiently in advance will be carried out during the Scheduled Maintenance Slot wherever possible.
This normally happens on Tuesdays from 7am to 9am. Work is usually arranged to start by 8am and no new work is started after 9am.
This is in alignment with both the JANET (the UK Joint Academic NETwork) and FaTMAN (Fife and Tayside Metropolitan Area Network) scheduled maintenance policies.
This policy applies to all services operated by ICS.
Advance Warning
Where ever possible, we alert network administrators/departmental computing staff about scheduled services disruption.
