The MA Degree structure at Dundee allows you to acquire a broad and deep education in the traditional Humanities (English, History, Philosophy, Politics) as well as areas of particular contemporary concern (American Studies, European Studies, Film Studies, International Relations, Transatlantic Studies). You can also enhance your studies by taking your main subjects alongside a language.
The MA provides a framework offering not just in-depth study in individual subject areas, but an opportunity to make links across the Humanities and the wider College so as to work in more interdisciplinary ways.

MA degree structure and overview
The Humanities disciplines form a distinctive cluster within the wider MA Degree Programme which involves the School of Humanities, the School of the Environment, the School of Psychology, and the School of Business. As well as being able to choose from Single and Joint degrees in Humanities subject areas, students on the MA are also able to take advantage of the flexibility of the structure to take individual modules and joint degree pathways involving other subjects. Language courses
The Languages section of Humanities provides various short courses for students, staff and the general public such as Practical Languages, Languages for All and the Diploma in Spanish for Teachers (Distance Learning).
