The Protecting Vulverable Groups Scheme (PVG Scheme) is the new membership scheme to replace and improve upon the current disclosure arrangements for staff who work with vulnerable groups.

Vulnerable groups are defnied as:

Children - an individual aged under 18 years of age; Protected adults - an individual aged 16 or over in receipt of one or more of: registered care services; health services; community care services; welfare services.
