From February 2010, the University of Dundee, in collaboration with the Open University, offers a programme of distance learning in Scottish History. These pages provide full information about the courses that are available. Applications are invited for these courses.
This programme provides the most comprehensive learning in Scottish History that can be done from your own home. With tutor-supported distance learning, the University of Dundee has brought together the world's leading academic historians of Scottish History from over ten universities in North America, Britain and Germany to provide a sophisticated and integrated programme. These are honours-level courses (Open University Level 3, University of Dundee Level 3) open to anyone with a serious interest in Scotland's past and its culture.
Modern Scottish History 1707 to the Present (60 credits) has been running successfully since 1997. The course in Medieval Scotland and Early Modern Scotland (60 Credits) was new in 2007.
