Hawkhill Medical Centre is a well established practice in the West End of Dundee, situated near the University attracting a diversity of patients and convenient for local amenities.

The six partners have a wide range of interests, including undergraduate teaching with all years of medical students. The medical centre is well equipped with a well-stocked library, large airy tutorial room and the registrar will have his/her own consulting room.

We provide a full range of general medical services, contraceptive, maternity, health screening and child health surveillance sessions. A surgeon colleague carries minor surgery out here one Saturday per month. Our Community team work from Hawkhill Medical Centre and a Practice Pharmacist works alongside the Doctors three days a week. Physiotherapy is available in-house. Specialist clinics include COPD, asthma, diabetes, cardiovascular, smoking cessation and all aspects of baby clinics. Dr Bruce and Dr M Vernon provide a full range of contraceptive services including IUD insertion, Implanon and diaphragm fittings.

The Doctors have wide range of interests, which will provide the Registrar with good experience. Dr Bruce recently passed her Membership by Assessment, therefore has personally gone through the rigours of being assessed in video work, and is now a College Assessor. Dr M Vernon is currently undergoing this assessment, thereby the surgery is an excellent educational environment for a Registrar to train in.

Currently Dr Bruce works in the Out-of-Hours Co-operative and the Registrar will be able to work two sessions per month along side her.
