If so,
St Margarets Health Centre, Auchterarder may be
the place to come for your Registrar year.

St
Margaret's Health Centre
We are
a friendly, forward thinking, keen to teach practice in a rural
community, with attached Community Hospital.
Auchterarder
(the "lang toon") is situated just off the A9, approximately
12 miles from Perth, close to the world famous Gleneagles
Hotel. We are well located for easy access to both Edinburgh
and Glasgow.
Map
of the practice area
St Margarets
Health Centre was purpose built in 1991, is fully computerised
with Internet access, and well equipped for making the most
of your year. The Health Centre is currently undergoing a major
expansion, due to be completed by the end of 2003. We also have
a branch surgery in the nearby village of Dunning. The attached
District Nurses, Health Visitors and Community Midwives work
from the Health Centre, and there are regular in-house CPN,
Clinical Psychology and Psychiatry clinics.
The neighbouring
16 bed General Practitioner Community Hospital allows continuity
of care for the local population with admissions for management
of acute medical problems, rehabilitation and palliative care.
There is a small Minor Injuries unit within the hospital.
We are
happy to help with finding local accommodation for the year.
Alternatively, there is a room within the community hospital
available for on-call.
We can
promise you an interesting and varied year both within and outwith
the practice. And if thats not enough, how about afternoon
tea or golf at Gleneagles?
Medical
and Nursing Staff
There
are 3 full-time and 5 part-time GPs and 1
